f2 shortcut to activate cell editing on inline editing in table or scope tab.
Posted by JonSpivak on 29 Jun 23:29 in Engineering (private), Home | Active
In Excel, Project, and other common apps, hitting F2 activates cell editing when you are in a highlighted cell.
In this case, when a user has navigated to an editable cell, hitting F2 is the same as the double-click to edit action, and engages the cell editing.
This allows the user to edit within a table without taking her hand off the mouse.
Add an ACTIVITY_STATUS placeholder to the "Activity assigned" mail template
Posted by tchan on 29 Jun 17:44 in Requirements (accept 360), Engineering (private) | Active
This should be a no-brainer.
Sometimes someone assigns an activity to me, but that activity turns out to be already Completed, but I had to click into the entity to find out. If we add an ACTIVITITY_STATUS placeholder to the "Activity assigned" mail template and make it part of the default template, the email notification for activity assigned would be much more informative.

A user should be able to create a requirement from dashborad module.
Requirement, tasks, defects and suggestions are basic building blocks and are most frequently used elements. We can create tasks, defects and suggestions from dashborad module (New menu), however there is no provision to create requirement.
Release scope tab in Accept requirement dashboard

Most of the cases we arrange dashboard with requirements, defects, assigned task, unread notes etc. When there is an important release we need to see the requirements, tasks and defects in daily basis. For that we have to navigate to roadmaps module and search for the specific release and open scope tab, it’s quite lengthy process. It would be great if the entire release scope tab is available in the dashboard containing all the elements that I look for.
Editable drop-down list can help the user to adddeas into existing idea cloud.

In the idea creation page a edit box is provided to enter idea tags, a new user might not sure which tag is suitable for his new idea. Probably a dropdown having few popular tags can help him to select the appropriate tags. And the drop down should be editable so that new ideas can be entered.

There is a nothing much difference between a release and scenario. so it would be great if user is able to convert the Release to Scenario and Scenario to Release in the Accept Requirement.
ability to find the version of Accept requirements instance with sureity
Posted by shiv_jha on 24 Jun 06:00 in Requirements (accept 360), Home | Active
Currently the version and SVN information of a accept requirements instance can be found by checking the values in server.dtd which is entered manually at time of installation. This mechanism has scope for human error.
There must be a way to embed this info when the build is created. Later thisinfo must be a read-only parameter

"Add to Dashboard" menu action
Posted by tchan on 19 Jun 17:45 in Engineering (private), Requirements (accept 360), Home | Active
Right now to add something to the dashboard, you have to go to the Dashboard module and click "Add Table View pane" and select a filter.
It would be much more convenient to provide an "Add to Dashboard" menu action item when you right click on a filter in the table view.
